Norwich University names Daniel Daoust Norwich Pro director

Norwich University is pleased to announce that Lt. Col. Daniel Daoust, (U.S. Army, Ret.), has been appointed director of the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies’ (CGCS) Norwich Pro ® organization effective June 1, 2020. Norwich Pro offers online professional development courses and certificates in high-demand skill sets.

In this role, Daoust will manage, prospect for and close new business opportunities for Norwich Pro customized training with the public sector, including federal, state and local government; the private sector; and the university’s faculty and staff. Daoust will oversee the development and implementation of the continuing professional education portfolio with the ultimate goal of improving Norwich Pro’s certificate programs and custom training to better fit the needs of students, businesses and the Norwich community.

“Daniel Daoust brings years of business development and program management experience to Norwich, and I am proud to welcome him as the Norwich Pro director,” Vice President and CGCS Dean Bill Clements said. “I look forward to his expertise and support with the expansion of Norwich Pro’s certificate programs and customized corporate solutions.”

Before becoming Norwich Pro director, Daoust was chief commercial officer for MVA Training LLC, a service-disabled, Veteran-owned small business in El Paso, Texas, that focuses on business consulting and training. Daoust was previously the chief officer for learning and special projects with the Center of Excellence for Applied Research & Training (CERT). He helped establish the CERT AI Academy, building artificial intelligence capacity for the United Arab Emirates’ government through democratizing artificial intelligence for all. Daoust also has 22 years of service as a former U.S. Army Special Forces lieutenant colonel.
