Norwich University and The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) have partnered to offer a $3,000 scholarship for engineering professionals who wish to enter into an online master’s degree program through the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS).

Recognizing the importance of continuing professional education, Norwich will offer a $3,000 scholarship to all SAME members entering the online Master of Civil Engineering program. The scholarship for SAME members is also applicable to any one of its 13 online master’s programs. SAME will also support Norwich’s residential and online undergraduate programs through promotion of this partnership.

Norwich was one of the first institutions to offer instruction in civil engineering in the United States. Many of its most notable engineering alumni, such as Grenville Dodge and Edward Dean Adams, have gone on to define the face of American engineering and the American landscape itself. Today, the David Crawford School of Engineering continues to be a center of innovation in experiential education, and is ranked among the top undergraduate engineering programs in the country.

“In addition to advancing students’ technical knowledge, this partnership is a great opportunity for students to experience the unique curriculum of Norwich’s online programs that provide students with management coursework to position themselves for career advancement and increased earning power,” Master of Civil Engineering Program Coordinator Linda Ratsep said.

The online Master of Civil Engineering program has several concentrations including structural engineering environmental/water resources engineering, geotechnical engineering and construction management.

CGCS is also attending SAME’s 2019 Small Business Conference in Dallas Nov. 20-22 at booth 637. For more information on this partnership, please visit
