James Burlas
Abstract:

The DRMD Train-up Project establishes a formal training program for new Department of the Navy/Assistant for Administration Directives and Records Management Division (DoN/AA DRMD) employees. Due to the increase of new employees, especially those with minimal declassification experience, a training program was in demand. This project utilizes a Waterfall Approach from project inception to closeout. Modern project management methods and tools were applied to provide a more robust final product all while. The goal of the DRMD Train-up Project is to formulate an expansive and in-depth training program for DoN Declassification training where new employees will learn the history, techniques, governing laws, executive orders, policies, procedures, best practices, and subject matter knowledge on various Navy platforms.
