As the health care platform continues to evolve towards a more accessible patient-centered, quality-driven, preventative model, the demand for primary care providers and qualified registered nurses is increasing at a rapid rate. Educational needs of nurses are rapidly changing with the creation of initiatives such as population health management and patient-centered medical home. These demands are placing enormous strain on precious resources across the academic and clinical landscapes in health care requiring creative thinking on the part of administrators to address the needs of the future of health care.
