Abstract:

The purpose of this research proposal is to explore debriefing assessment skills of academic nursing faculty and to see whether improvements in debriefing result in a more positive student experience. Using simulation in nursing education has become popular as experiential learning provides students an opportunity to apply theory, practice skills, and fine-tunes decision making that builds the foundation for critical thinking necessary for today’s nursing practice.
