Abstract:

In recent years, many organizations and users have found that wireless communications and devices are convenient, flexible, and easy to use. Users of mobile technology devices have the flexibility to move their systems from one location to another across the globe and maintain continuous communications. These wireless communications are susceptible to many of the same security concerns that are involved with wired communications however, mobile technology also brings about a slew of additional security concerns that must be addressed. These concerns can range from issues with the Mobile Marketplace and Cloud security to mobile security in business operations and malicious employees. The most recent years have brought about the biggest shift in technology since the advent of the Internet but it is only just the beginning. Mobile technologies are emerging as a growth engine for small, medium and large enterprises and are still set to grow over the coming years. Mobile technologies allow for increases in productivity and profitability and are therefore very tempting to upper management and executives. The issue is that the technologies and communications must be safeguarded in order to protect the company and continue to provide stellar products and services to consumers.
