Abstract:

In the modern world, the notion of sovereignty is undergoing a substantial re-consideration. This article outlines challenges to the concept of inviolability of state sovereignty with particular focus on humanitarian and human rights concerns. It further explores attitudes of third world countries, the European Union, and the United States about these challenges.
