Terrorism Abroad:

Cases the United States of America Must Understand
Author:
Jared Goff
Abstract:

This contribution provides a review of two monumental terrorist events. The individuals who planned for and executed the events in Beslan, North Ossetia, and Mumbai, India, are in the minority:  their claims and motivations are shared by some, yet rejected by others. Nevertheless, the terrorists involved in both of these heinous events should change the way the United States of America thinks about and reacts to terrorism. This paper is broken into two sections. Section one will provide a review of the terrorist groups and their motivation for carrying out the attacks in Beslan and Mumbai, as well as other critical information regarding the response of the government. Section two provides information on both current and needed policies as well as current operational and needed activities inside of the United States.
