Author:
John Manning
Abstract:

This paper analyzes and reflects upon the value of leading and living lifelong learning in the Marshfield Kiwanis Aktion Club. The Aktion Club is an organization comprised of approximately 35-40 adults living with disabilities. Lifelong learning is a very important piece if not the most crucial component of any organization. The analysis of lifelong learning through the Leader-Follower-Situation model is key to the success of any organization. Leadership development throughout the organization is vital to its growth and provides an opportunity to anyone who is willing to take on added responsibility and become a leader of the organization. Various projects are taken on by the members and advisers monitor and coach them through the particulars of each one with the ultimate goal of having the members accept responsibility and follow through on their own.
