Dedicated Military Support Services

Be Mentored Toward Success

From application to graduation, we are dedicated to upholding the respect and dignity of our military students, Veterans and their families. Currently, in progress, Norwich faculty and staff undergo Green Zone Training so they have a greater understanding of:

  • The military experience and the emotional cycle of deployment.
  • Potential issues facing undergraduate/graduate student Veterans and their families when transitioning from the military to civilian academics.
  • Community resources are available to our service members and Veterans.

Green Zone training also ensures service members or Veterans receive the appropriate online resources to support their ongoing success.

  • New Student Orientation and Welcome Center
  • Grammarly writing application
  • Tutor.com service account
  • Library and electronic ebooks

Contact your student support advisor for further assistance and questions.

Your Dedicated Military Support Team and Resources

Our faculty, academic advisors, tutors and mentors offer assistance with many aspects of your online learning experience, ADA support and explaining different Veteran and military resources.

*Undergraduate programs are 100% online. In graduate programs, you'll complete coursework 100% online and complete the degree with a week-long residency conference at the end of the program.

Your first line of support is your student support advisor, who functions as your personal advocate for issues related to program requirements, course materials, university policies and anything else that may impact your academic experience. If you are a military Veteran, you have the added support of our experienced staff who will help you navigate the policies and resources specific to your military status.

To help you succeed as an online learner, our dedicated distance-learning librarian and reference staff members provide research assistance via email, phone and chat. Our staff can give you access to books in print from our collection of over 140,000 titles and journal articles not available online to students through our material request services. If you have any technical questions or issues regarding your online program platform, you can reach out to our technical support staff members who are available to help 24/7.

As a student enrolled in the history, military history, leadership or business administration programs, you have access to a variety of online tools and resources to best navigate through course assignments and become an expert writer. Norwich alumni support you by providing writing tips and best practices through modules, forums and assignment reviews. Grow your writing skills with ease through the online classroom.

Other key staff members include your admissions advisor, who can guide you through all the up-front processes and details surrounding program admissions, credit transfersVA certification and financial aid. Once you begin your program, a program director and assistant director work behind the scenes to keep your curriculum relevant and ensure an optimal online classroom experience.
